ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for an energetic and talented individual to join our EMEA payroll team. The ideal candidate will be a team player and have solid payroll background and a “can do” attitude to drive results.
You will report directly to the EMEA Payroll Manager based in Galati and work closely with our EMEA and global accounting teams.
This role coordinates payroll for some of our 7 EMEA countries. Your contribution in this role will impact the success of the EMEA finance organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Payroll coordination for assigned EMEA countries (interface between Wind River and external payroll providers)
- Timely payment of all payroll and related taxes
- Evaluation and reconciliation of payroll-related accounts and accruals
- Balance sheet and income statement fluctuation and cost analysis
- Cooperation with internal and external auditors for statutory, internal and SOX audits
- Collaborate cross-functionally with international teams to standardize and improve the process design, including US GAAP requirements, local reporting requirements as well as SOX initiatives.
- Identify areas of improvement in policies and procedures to provide assurance of the accuracy of payroll data in financial reports. Work with others to identify, optimize and automate processes driving efficient and streamlined processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Payroll background
- Qualified accountant
- 3+ years of work experience in a multinational environment, preferably within a US Corporation
- Fluency in English (written and spoken), any additional European language skills would be appreciated but not mandatory
- ORACLE R12 knowledge preferred
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel, is a must
- Able to work collaboratively in an international environment
